Yupik
The Yupiks live in a tundra environment in Alaska. Because there is a lack of food source, the tribe is nomadic and they travel around in their extended families including children, their parents, their grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. They make their traditional clothing using the skin of birds, fish, marine, and land animals. They dance to tell stories about their lives. Both boys and girls were trained to hunt, cook, and sew when they were little. They believe in Shaman and their connection with spirits. They make their houses using sod, wooden beams, and rocks. Because they live near rivers, they use kayaks very often, and children were trained to make kayaks, too. They have fish camp in the spring to hunt fish for their people. They often eat Pacific salmons and seals.

Tuareg
The Tuaregs live in the Sahara desert in North Africa. They are a nomadic tribe like the Yupiks because they have to find food and water to keep them alive. They believe in Animism where women are asked to cover up their head. They drink camel and goat milk, eat bread made form a special grain found in the desert, and millet porridge. They make jewelry, leather, metal saddle decorations called trik, and they also make good swords. Because they have to move around very often, they make tents to live in out of animals skin.
